Are you having trouble seeing your EZVIZ camera image upside down in the app? Don’t panic, you’re not alone. A flipped image doesn’t necessarily mean the camera is faulty. This issue is usually caused by a minor app setting issue or incorrect camera installation. When I first installed my EZVIZ camera, I was also confused as to why it was displaying an upside-down image.
In this guide, I’ll show you an easy way to fix the flipped image on your EZVIZ camera in the app.
Why is My EZVIZ Camera Display Upside Down in the App?
Having been a CCTV camera technician since 2015, I’ve received numerous complaints from EZVIZ camera users about the image being displayed upside down in the app. Based on my experience, here are some of the causes of EZVIZ cameras displaying an upside down image in the app.
1. Incorrect Installation Position

Customers can choose the camera model that best suits their needs. Each model also has different features and installation methods. Many complaints about the camera image being displayed upside down in the app come from users of EZVIZ indoor cameras like the C6N, TY1, H7c, C60p, and other indoor models.
2. Image Flip Feature Not Enabled
Flip Image is a feature that EZVIZ camera users can use to flip the image. This feature is available in the camera settings, which can be accessed using the EZVIZ app. By default, this feature is disabled.
How I Fixed My EZVIZ Camera’s Image Displaying Upside Down in the App
The above are the two main issues that cause the EZVIZ camera image to appear upside down in the app. Here are the steps I typically take to fix these issues. I only tell customers to make these adjustments if I can’t visit their home.
Fixing the Camera Mounting Position
To fix the first problem, you can fix the mounting position.
If you’re using an EZVIZ Indoor PTZ camera like the C6N, TY1, or similar models, you can actually only install it on a table or other surface. However, you can also mount it on the ceiling, but the image displayed in the app will likely be inverted.
Enabling the Image Flip Feature
If you have already installed an EZVIZ camera on the ceiling and the image display is upside down, I usually immediately activate the Image Flip feature from the EZVIZ application.
Follow the guide below:
Open the EZVIZ app.

Log in to your EZVIZ account. If you’re already logged in, opening the EZVIZ app will take you directly to the dashboard.
Click the three dots to go to the settings page.

In the settings page, scroll down until you find the Flip Image tab. Tap it once to launch the Flip Image feature.

If the message “Reversed” appears, the EZVIZ camera image flip was successful.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Is the Reversed Image Display on an EZVIZ Camera Means the Camera is Damaged?
No, based on my personal experience, the EZVIZ camera image display is upside down only due to incorrect installation position and incorrect camera settings in the app.
How to Fix an Upside Down EZVIZ Camera Display?
Position the camera mount correctly and enable the Image Flip feature.
