If you use an EZVIZ camera, you can download recorded videos from the memory card and save them directly to your phone. This is also a good way to keep a copy of your recordings before they’re automatically deleted from the memory card. In my experience, there are two ways to download recorded videos from an EZVIZ camera.
In this article, I’ll show you both methods, and you can pick whichever one you prefer.
What Do I Need to Prepare to Download Videos from My EZVIZ Camera?
Keep in mind that you can only download recorded videos from your EZVIZ camera using the app. So, make sure you’ve already installed the EZVIZ app on your phone and connected your camera to it.
Next, make sure your EZVIZ camera is connected to WiFi.
You’ll also need access to the EZVIZ app dashboard. If the camera was set up on your phone through account sharing, make sure you have permission to manage the camera’s video feed from the primary account.
How I Download Video Recordings from My EZVIZ Camera, Step by Step
For this article, I’ll use an EZVIZ H8c camera as an example and show you how to download a recorded video from it. Downloading video recordings from the EZVIZ H8c camera is easier than downloading them from the EZVIZ C6N camera. I’ll also explain the differences here.
1. Downloading Videos from Clips
On newer EZVIZ camera models, like the H8c, downloading recorded videos is even easier. Just select the clip you want from the playback page.
Here’s how:
I opened the EZVIZ app.
I selected my EZVIZ H8c camera from the dashboard.
Then, I’ll be taken straight to the EZVIZ camera’s live view page. You’ll also see the available video clips displayed below the live view. I tapped one of the clips, and it took me directly to the playback page.
A Download button will appear on the playback page. Just tap it to download the recorded video. I can choose which videos I want to download.
Tap Confirm to download the selected video.
Downloaded videos are automatically saved to the Album section in the EZVIZ app. To view them, go back to the app’s home screen and tap Profile, then select My Album. Here, you’ll find all the videos you’ve downloaded.
Tap on one of the videos and click the Download icon to save the video to your phone.
2. Downloading Videos Using Screen Recording
On older EZVIZ camera models, such as the C6N and TY1, you can’t download recorded videos directly from the Clips section. Instead, you’ll need to use the Screen Recording feature.
For example, I’m using the EZVIZ TY1.
Here’s how to do it:
On the EZVIZ app dashboard, I selected the TY1 camera.
I was then taken to the live video feed page, with the saved video clips displayed below it. I tapped on the clips to open the list of recordings. However, unlike the EZVIZ H8c, there was no Download button available.
So, to save a video, I use the Record menu, which starts the screen recording feature.
A timer will appear on the screen to show how long the recording has been running. When you’re done, tap Record again to stop the screen recording. The recording will automatically be saved to My Album, where you can view it anytime.
On the My Album page, tap the video you want to save, then tap the Download icon to save it to your phone.
The two methods above are the ones I usually use and recommend to my customers when they want to download recorded videos from their EZVIZ cameras and save them to their phones.
There’s actually another way to download EZVIZ recordings, which is by using EZVIZ Studio. However, you’ll need a laptop for this method. The laptop also needs to be connected to the same network as the EZVIZ camera, so you can’t do it remotely like with the two methods I explained earlier.

However, if your EZVIZ camera has a settings menu like the one shown below, you can download recorded videos directly using the Download button.
