Step-by-Step Instructions
You will use two applications simultaneously during the reset process: the SADP Tool software and the Hik-Partner Pro app. If you have not installed the Hik-Partner Pro app on your device, download it from the Google Play Store (Android) or the App Store (iPhone/iPad).
On SADP Tool
Here, we’ll retrieve the device’s QR code, which we’ll scan using the Hik-Partner Pro app. This will generate the password reset key. This is a faster method than exporting an XML file.
Step 1 – Open SADp Tool
Step 2 – Check the box for the Hikvision IP camera that forgot the password. Select Forgot Password in the bottom right corner.

Step 3 – Tap QR Code

On Hik-Partner Pro
Why use the Hik-Partner Pro app? This app scans the QR code of the IP camera device displayed in the SADP Tool. Once the code is scanned, the app will process the password reset key.
Open Hik-Partner Pro.
On the dashboard page, select Toolkit > Online Support Case > New Case > Device Password Reset.

Choose Others.

Enter all requested data, take a photo of the device label, scan the device QR code in the SADP Tool.

Check the terms and conditions box. Tap Confirm.

If approved, you’ll receive a reply in the Hik-Partner Pro app with a password reset key code. Return to the SADP Tool, enter the key code and create a new password. Click the Confirm button to save.

If the message “Reset Password Succeeded” appears, the camera password has been successfully reset.
