One of my clients, Dapur Makanan Bergizi Gratis (MBG), contacted me regarding an issue with their EZVIZ camera—it was flickering and displaying black lines. This issue caused the EZVIZ camera’s feed to appear blurry in the app. This is a common problem with EZVIZ cameras. It’s caused by the camera’s installation location and settings, not a defect in the camera itself.
Since I’ve encountered problems like this many times before, I was able to fix it easily in a matter of minutes.
The EZVIZ Camera Is Flickering Because It Is Installed Close to a Room Light
The main reason the EZVIZ camera flickers is that it is installed too close to the room’s light.
After I inspected the site, I found that the installed EZVIZ camera was less than one meter away from the light. This is too close. The light’s waves will interfere with the camera’s video signal, causing the display to flicker and black lines to appear. This will also be recorded in the storage. The footage will not be clear during playback either.
Steps I Took to Fix My EZVIZ Camera That Was Flickering and Showing Ghosting
As it turns out, EZVIZ has developed a feature called Anti-Flicker. This feature can be enabled through the EZVIZ camera settings in the app. It will eliminate flickering from the EZVIZ camera’s display.
Here’s how to enable the EZVIZ camera’s Anti-Flickering feature.
Open the EZVIZ app.
Log in using your registered account. If you’re already logged in, you’ll be redirected to the dashboard when you open the app.
On the dashboard page, tap the three dots on the camera.

Select Device Settings.

On the settings page select Image Settings.

Then, on the Image Settings page, scroll down until you find Anti-Flicker. Activate it by tapping the button once. Anti-flicker is activated when the button turns blue, as shown in the image below.
