The Franwell app is an application for Franwell brand CCTV cameras. With this app, users can connect Franwell cameras to their phones and view live footage remotely. Additionally, users can configure camera settings, playback, and download recordings. The app is available for Android and iOS. You can also install it on a PC using an Android emulator, as the Franwell app is not available for PC.
In this article, I will explain how to use the Franwell application starting from adding cameras, live view and playback.

Create an Account
To further utilize the Franwell app, you must create an account. You can create an account using either an email address or a mobile phone number. I recommend using an email address to create an account. This will make it easier for you in the future if you forget your login password.
If you already have an account on the V380 Pro app, you can use it to log in to the Franwell app, as both apps use the same server data.
Creating an Account With an Email Address
Open the Franwell app on your phone.
You will then be directed to the login page. On that page, please click the Register button to create a new account.

Select the Email tab. I’ll register an account in the Franwell app using email. If you’re registering with a mobile number, select the Phone Verification tab. Then, select your region.

There are 6 regions to choose from:
- Africa
- Asia
- Europe
- North America
- Oceania
- South America
After selecting the region, click the Confirm button.

Enter your email address.

Check your email for the verification code sent by the app and enter it in the field provided. Click the Next button.

Set Your Password. A secure password is 8-40 characters long and contains at least 3 character types (uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters like @#$!). Click the Confirm button.

If account registration is successful, you will be directed to the Franwell application dashboard page.

Adding a Camera to the Franwell App
What You Need Before Adding a Device
Before starting the process of adding a camera or device to the Franwell application, here are the things I prepared.
- A registered Franwell App account
- Connect your phone to a WiFi network.
- The camera is connected to the power grid and is working properly.
- Bluetooth on the phone is on
Please note: Make sure you’re using a 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi network at home. In my experiments, the camera couldn’t connect to a 5Ghz Wi-Fi network.
Process of Adding a Device
Buka aplikasi Franwell.
Klik tombol + atau klik kotak dengan tulisan Add Device.

On the Add Device page, you can scan the device’s QR code. Other methods for adding devices are also available, such as Wi-Fi Camera, 4G Camera, Wired Camera, and Local Network Camera.
Which method do I use?
I immediately used the method of scanning the QR code on the camera. So I pointed my phone’s camera at the QR code on the camera.

Enter the Wi-Fi password. Click Confirm.

The Wi-Fi connection and device addition process will then begin. The camera will notify you with a sound.

Create your camera password. Click Confirm.

Provide a name for the device. Then, click View Device.

You’ll be redirected to the live camera view. This completes the process of adding the device to the Franwell app.

Live Camera View in Franwell App on Android
After successfully adding the camera to the app, I set it up outdoors to see the results. The added camera will appear in the app’s camera list.
To view it, tap the play button.

A live view will appear. An example of a live camera view in the Franwell app is shown below.

How to Playback on Franwell App?
The Franwell camera is a Wi-Fi-enabled camera that connects directly to your phone and doesn’t require a recording device like most cameras. Videos are saved to the camera’s built-in memory. To playback videos, you must insert a memory card. Use a high-quality memory card so that the videos are stored well.
For playback, follow the instructions below.
On the live view page, click the Playback button at the top right.

You will be redirected to the Playback page.
Click the arrow to view the timeline. Swipe left or right to adjust the playback time. Click “Today” to change the video’s date.

How to Change the Language of the Franwell App?
The default language used by the Franwell app is English. However, you can customize the Franwell app to your preferred language depending on your country. To change the language please follow these simple steps.
Select the Profile menu.
Select Settings > Language and tap once on the name of the language you want to use.
Languages provided:
- English
- Espanol
- Portugues
- Tieng Viet
- Deutsche
- Pilskie
- Francis
- Turkce
- Magyar
- Romania
- Italiano
And there are several other languages available, but I can’t type them on the keyboard because they use Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Arabic letters.
Final Thoughts
Using the Franwell app is easy if you understand its menus. Adding a camera to the Franwell App is a simple process that only takes a few minutes. By scanning the QR code, connecting the camera to your Wi-Fi network, and completing the registration, you can start monitoring your property remotely with ease. If you encounter any issues, verify your network connection, ensure the camera is powered on, and confirm that the device information has been entered correctly. Following the steps in this guide will help you complete the installation successfully and enjoy uninterrupted remote monitoring.
