EZVIZ C6N vs. TY1 vs. H6C: A Comparison After a Month of Use—Which One Is the Best?

EZVIZ TY1 vs C6N vs H6C

TY1 Pro vs. C6N vs. H6c—These three cameras have identical designs. It’s hard to tell them apart—especially once they’re installed. The only differences between them are in the packaging and the app. As of 2026, based on the data I have, the EZVIZ TY1 series has the most models. The EZVIZ C6N has three models, the H6c has two models, and the TY1 has eight models. So, out of these three series, which one is the best?

In this article, I’ll explain the differences between the three based on my experience after using them for one month.

Their Designs Are the Same; the Only Differences Are the Replacement of the USB Port and the Addition of a Call Button

EZVIZ TY1, C6N dan H8C memiliki desain yang serupa.

This camera’s design resembles a large alien head. On the front, there’s the EZVIZ logo and the camera lens. There’s no difference. On the back, you’ll see one RJ45 port and one USB port. Everything else is the same. The key difference is that the C6N still uses a Micro USB port, while the TY1 and H8C cameras use USB Type-C. The TY1 and H8C also have a call button on the front, whereas the C6N does not.

In terms of design, that’s the only visible difference.

EZVIZ TY1 Pro CCTV Camera—Available in Many Models and Resolution Options

The TY1 stands out in terms of model options—by “model” here, I don’t mean the design, but the resolution.

I still remember when the TY1 camera was first launched. This camera was the successor to the C6N. By the way, before the TY1, the C6N was the first EZVIZ camera introduced as a smart indoor camera. The first TY1 model had the same features as the C6N; the only difference was the call button. Since then, the line has expanded, and now there are the standard TY1 and the TY1 Pro.

Current TY1 camera models:

  • TY1 2MP
  • TY1 4MP
  • TY1 Pro 2MP
  • TY1 Pro 2K
  • TY1 Pro 2K⁺
  • TY1 Pro 3K
  • TY1 Pro 4K

The current EZVIZ C6N model:

  • C6N 2MP
  • C6N 3MP
  • C6N 4MP

The current EZVIZ H6C model:

  • H6c 2MP
  • H6c 2K⁺
  • H6c Pro 2MP
  • H6c Pro 2K⁺

All EZVIZ camera models can be connected via Wi-Fi to the EZVIZ app and used within a single app.

EZVIZ TY1 Pro

A Newer App UI and More Comprehensive Motion Sensor Features

The TY1 Pro and H6c feature a newer camera settings interface.

The C6N camera settings UI still looks the same as when it was first launched. The interface places greater emphasis on explanations within each menu. This is intended to help first-time users understand the functions when selecting a menu. The standard TY1 model also used this settings interface before switching to the new interface in the TY1 Pro series.

For more details, you can see the differences in the image below.

The TY1 Pro and H6c cameras have received updates to their motion sensors. The motion sensors on the C6N and non-Pro versions of the TY1 are standard motion sensors, while the TY1 Pro and H6c offer more options, such as motion sensors that can detect people and vehicles.

There Is No Difference in Video Quality; It Depends on the Resolution Used

Based on the app, I don’t see any difference in the video quality from these three cameras.

I set up three cameras—a 2MP C6N, a 2MP TY1, and a 2MP H8c—and compared the video footage. There was no difference among the three. Differences in video quality become apparent when you use a camera with a higher resolution. Choosing a higher resolution will definitely result in clearer video.

The image features are also identical; for example:

  • Night Vision
  • WDR Sensor, designed to reduce glare on the camera

For your information, the TY1 Pro and H6c feature a customizable night vision mode. Meanwhile, the C6N and the non-Pro versions of the TY1 do not have a night vision mode and only offer infrared night vision.

Of These Three Cameras, Which One Do I Think Is Better?

Of course, the TY1 Pro and the H6c.

I chose the TY1 Pro and H6c because both feature superior detection capabilities. For comparison, if you install the C6N camera outdoors and enable motion detection and auto-tracking, the camera will move continuously. This is because the motion detection and auto-tracking features on the EZVIZ C6N rely on general movement rather than specific objects (such as humans); consequently, the camera reacts to any moving object—like leaves blowing in the wind—within its field of view.

Here is a short video example of the C6N camera installed outdoors with motion detection enabled.

The camera moves erratically.

The EZVIZ TY1 Pro camera offers more resolution options, ranging from 2MP to 4K. The camera settings page in the app also has a more modern and streamlined design compared to the C6N’s settings menu.

Final Thougts

The EZVIZ TY1, C6N, and H8c are indoor cameras. As they are not waterproof, they cannot be installed outdoors where they would be directly exposed to water; however, they can be used outdoors if installed in a way that protects them from water. Personally, I recommend using these cameras for their intended purpose. Regarding price, there is no significant difference among the three models; the EZVIZ TY1 Pro, H6c, and C6N—when comparing versions with the same resolution—are priced around $22.43, excluding the memory card and installation costs.
