For instance, the Reolink app is intended for Reolink cameras. You can’t use it to view cameras from other brands, such as EZVIZ or Tapo.

How I Download and Install the Reolink App for PC?

Since I’m using a Mac, I’ll show you how to install the Reolink app on it.For this guide, I’m using a 2012 MacBook Pro running macOS Monterey. I choose a Mac.
Since my 2012 MacBook Pro uses an Intel processor, I chose the Reolink app version for Intel-based Macs. The download will then start automatically, so just wait for it to finish. The Reolink app installer for Mac is around 177 MB in size.
Click the successfully downloaded Reolink application file.
A window like this will then appear. Simply drag the Reolink app icon into the Applications folder. That’s it—the Reolink app is now installed on your Mac. Pretty easy, right?
Initial Setup of the Reolink App on Mac
There’s no complicated setup process with the Reolink app. It’s designed to be simple and easy to use, and you only need to follow two steps to get it set up on your Mac.
Click the Reolink app on the Launchpad.
Click Open in the confirmation window.
Next, check the box to agree to the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions, then click Agree. You’ll be taken straight to the app’s dashboard without needing to create a separate password for the application.

Reolink also provides a VMS application for Windows PCs.

How to Connect a Camera to the Reolink App on a Mac?
There are four ways to add your Reolink camera to the Reolink app on your PC.
- UID
- IP Domain
- Link
- LAN Local
If your Reolink camera is connected to the same network, the app will automatically detect it and show it in the list under Scan Device (in) LAN.
You just need to click the + button next to the detected camera.
Next, enter your Reolink camera’s password.
The username is usually admin and is filled in automatically. Once you’re done, your Reolink camera will be connected to the app.
The most common way to add a Reolink camera is by using its UID. But where can you find your camera’s UID? The easiest way is to find your camera’s UID in the Reolink app.
Open the Reolink app on your phone.
Tap your Reolink camera to open the Live View page, then tap the gear icon to access the camera settings and tap the camera’s name again.
You’ll then be taken to the Device Info page, where you can find your Reolink camera’s UID. Once you’ve found your camera’s UID, enter it in the provided field and click Add. Follow the on-screen instructions, and your camera will be connected to the Reolink app on your Mac.
Note: Don’t share your camera’s UID with anyone you don’t know. If someone gets your camera’s UID and manages to guess your password, they may be able to access your Reolink camera.
