Clean install Windows 10/11 LTSC – After searching for a lightweight version of Windows to use, I finally chose to use Windows 10 LTSC. I was previously using the regular version of Windows 10, but my computer became very slow. Plus, I had to try out several CCTV camera software programs on my computer, which put a lot of strain on it. For that reason, I finally upgraded from the regular version to Windows LTSC.
In this guide, I will show you a safe way to install Windows 10 LTSC for beginners based on my personal first-hand experience.
What Is Windows LTSC?
In short, Windows LTSC is a special edition of Windows designed for users who require maximum stability and minimal changes over time. This edition is commonly used in business environments, industrial systems, and by advanced users who prefer a clean Windows experience.
Unlike regular versions of Windows, Windows LTSC receives updates less frequently, and when they do, they are only for crucial features.

What are the Hardware Requirements for Installing Windows 10 LTSC?
Installing Windows LTSC requires a device with the same specifications as installing regular Windows. According to Microsoft, Windows LTSC requires a 1 GHz processor with 2 cores, 4 GB of system memory, and 64 GB of storage.
Here are the specifications on my computer:
- Installed RAM 8GB
- Processor Inter (R) Core (TM) i5-6400 CPU @ 2.70GHz
- Graphic Card 128 MB
- Storage SSD 250 GB
How to Clean Install Windows 10 LTSC on a Computer?
Before starting the installation process, you must have a Windows 10 LTSC ISO file ready to boot. You can read how to create a bootable Windows 10 LTSC USB drive. To get the Windows 10 LTSC ISO file, I purchased it from an e-commerce site. Because when I downloaded ISO files from other websites, the license code entry process always failed.
To clean install of Windows 10 LTSC from USB, follow the steps I took below:
Boot Priority Settings
Connect the USB Bootable to your computer.
Enter BIOS settings, select the Boot menu, and change the primary boot option to use the flash drive. Select Save & Exit. Restart your PC using the Windows 10 LTSC bootable USB drive.
Click the Next button.
Windows 10 LTSC Installation Process
Click Install.
The version of Windows 10 LTSC I installed is Windows 10 Enterprise N LTSC. This version doesn’t include multimedia features like Windows Media Player, Camera, Music, Movies & TV, and Skype. Click Next.
Check I accept the license terms and click the Next button.
For the installation type, I chose Custom because I’ll be erasing all files on my SSD. I want a clean install.
Then I deleted all the partitions. To delete a partition, highlight it and click the Delete button. Then click OK. Do everything on the available partitions.

After this, the Windows installation process will run automatically.
Wait for it to complete before proceeding with the next setup. Once the loading process is complete, you’ll be redirected to the Basic, Network, and Account settings.
Here’s what I did.
Basic:
- Region: United States
- Keyboard Layout: US
- On to Add a second keyboard layout: Click the Skip button.
Network:
In this part, the process will be automatic, so I just let it finish.
Account:
Specifically for the Account settings, I chose not to use a Microsoft account. To bypass this, I tapped Domain join instead. After bypassing the registration process and not using a Microsoft account, I was then directed to fill in my user details.
First, I gave the computer a name. Clicked Next.
Enter the password and lick Next.
Confirm password.
Fill in three security questions. Fill in the required options and answers. After selecting and answering the questions, click Next.
The loading process will then begin. Wait for it to complete, and your Windows 10 LTSC will be successfully installed on your computer and ready to use.
How to Enter Windows 10 LTSC Product Key?
To register and officially use Windows 10 LTSC, you must enter a license code after installation. This code serves as proof of legality and verification that your copy of Windows is genuine and authorized by Microsoft.
Follow the steps below to enter the license code.
Click Start > Settings.

Click Change product key or upgrade your edition of Windows.
Click Change Product Key.
Please enter your Windows 10 LTSC product key or code in the field provided. This product key contains 25 letters and numbers. Then, click Next to confirm. If the message “The product key you didn’t work” appears, please use another code.
Enter Windows 10/11 LTSC Product Key Using Slui 3 Command
Another way to change or enter the product key for Windows 10/11 LTSC activation is by using the Slui 3 command. This command will open a window for entering the product key. This method is rarely used and is only used in certain circumstances.
Here’s how:
Press the Windows Key + R.
In the Run window, type Slui 3 and press Enter. Click the Yes button in the Windows Activation box.
Then, enter your 25-digit Windows 10/11 LTSC product key.
After entering the product key, don’t click Next. Instead, press the Windows key + R on your keyboard again and press Enter. A Run window will appear. Type Slui 4 and press Enter.
Select your Country or Region. I chose the United States. Click the Next button.
Next, an information page like this will appear. Click Enter Confirmation ID.
Enter your Confirmation ID in the field provided. I received my Confirmation ID from the seller who sold me the Windows 10 LTSC product key. Then click the Activate Windows button.
If the Confirmation ID is correct, a message like this will appear. Your Windows LTSC has been successfully activated.
To make sure, you can also look at the Windows Activation page, in the Activation section it should say “Windows is Activated”.
