How can I make the EZVIZ camera track the movements of people detected in front of it? This is one of the questions my customers ask me after I finish installing an EZVIZ camera. The EZVIZ camera is a smart camera with many features, one of which is the ability to detect motion and track the movements of people detected in front of it. This feature is very useful for seeing which direction a person is moving in.
I’ve tried this feature myself, and it’s extremely useful. This article will explain how I enabled the Motion Tracking feature on my EZVIZ camera.
Setting Up the EZVIZ Camera to Track Unknown People
Motion Tracking and Motion Detection are two of the most powerful features.
By using these features together, you can enhance security around your home and capture events in greater detail. The Motion Detection feature allows the camera to detect movement in front of it, while Motion Tracking follows the movement occurring in front of the camera. So if someone is in front of the camera, the camera will track them until they are no longer within range of the camera’s motion sensor.
How I Enabled the Motion Tracking Feature on My EZVIZ Camera?
By default, the Motion Tracking feature on EZVIZ cameras is turned off. Therefore, users must enable it manually. This feature can be enabled by opening the camera settings in the EZVIZ app.
Here are the steps to enable Motion Tracking on an EZVIZ camera.
Open your EZVIZ camera app.

Log in using your registered account. If you’ve already logged in, opening the app will take you directly to the EZVIZ dashboard.
Tap the three dots to open the EZVIZ CCTV camera settings menu.

Tap Device Settings.

On the Settings page, tap Auto Tracking.

Activate or enable Motion Tracking by tapping the button once and Completed will appear.

Motion Tracking is enabled.
