The app is required as an intermediary so that the camera can connect to Wi-Fi and your phone. You can download and install the Wansview camera app from the Play Store and the App Store under the name “Wansview Cloud.” The app is free.
- Open the Play Store/App Store
- Type “Wansview Cloud” in the app search box
- Click Install/Get
- The app will then download and install automatically on your phone
Creating an Account on the Wansview Cloud App
Before you can use the app, you must create an account.
Creating an account on the Wansview Cloud app is easy—all you need is an active email address. You’ll use this email address to receive the account registration verification code in the app.
- Open the Wansview Cloud app
- Click “Sign Up”
- Enter your email address and create a password
- Check your email inbox; the app has sent you a registration verification code. Then enter the verification code in the field provided.
Account registration is complete. You can now log in to the app to start using Wansview Cloud.

- Enter your password
- Tap the Sign In button
How to Connect a Wansview Camera to Wi-Fi and Your Phone?
Please note that Wansview cameras only support 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks. Therefore, when connecting the camera to Wi-Fi and your phone, make sure your phone is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. If your phone is connected to a 5 GHz network, the camera will typically fail to connect to both the Wi-Fi network and your phone.
Steps for Connecting a Wansview Camera to Wi-Fi and a Cell Phone.
- Open the Wansview Cloud app.
- Tap the Add Device button
- Select a camera model. In this guide, I’m using a Wansview Q5 camera. You can select the model that matches the camera you have.
- Tap the “Flashing” button
- Next, select the Wi-Fi network you want to use to connect to the camera. Enter the Wi-Fi password as well. Tap Next.
- A QR code will appear on your phone. Point the QR code toward the camera lens. If the camera successfully detects the QR code, it will play a sound indicating that “QR code scanning is successful.” At this point, all you have to do is wait for the camera to connect to Wi-Fi.
- If the camera connects successfully, a success page like the one below will appear.

How to Share a Wansview Camera with Another Phone?
You can share a single Wansview camera with others. For example, if you want your wife and children to be able to access the camera from their phones, you can use the device sharing feature.
Sharing a Wansview camera.
- Open the camera settings
- Select the “Invite Family & Friends” menu
- Tap Share icon
- Pilih Country/Region
- Enter the account or email address that will receive the camera
- Tap Confirm
- On the Share Settings page, please select the access permissions you want to grant to the recipient. For example, you can choose to grant the recipient access only to view the live camera feed and playback.
- Tap Confirm
- Tap OK
The sharing process on your phone is complete. Now it’s time to accept the camera that has been shared to another phone.
- Refresh the app on another phone.
- The device sharing details will then appear. Click “Receive.”
The camera will automatically open the app. Now, you and anyone else who receives the camera feed will see the same view from the camera.
