If you position the camera directly facing the entrance to your home, only a small portion of the exterior will be visible.
This is what’s known as a glare on a CCTV camera screen.
The amount of light reflected into the lens is not proportional to the amount of light the camera can capture. For this reason, the latest camera models typically incorporate WDR technology, which serves to balance the light in front of the camera. By default, the WDR function on iCSee cameras is disabled and must be enabled manually.
Steps to Enable the WDR Function on an iCSee Camera
Enabling the WDR feature on the camera is easy. Open the iCSee app and go to the camera settings. Please follow my steps to enable the WDR feature on your iCSee camera.
Open the iCSee application.
Log in using your registered account. If you’re already logged in, opening the app will take you directly to the iCSee dashboard.
Tap Settings on the camera.
On the Settings page, tap Advanced Settings.
Then select WDR Config.
Change the WDR Switch from Off to On by tapping the button to the right of the WDR Switch.
The WDR system on the iCSee CCTV camera is now active. When light comes from in front of the camera, the image will be less glaring because the WDR system balances the light entering the camera lens. WDR will not work when the camera is in Night Vision mode with black and white images.
