I Changed the EZVIZ Camera’s IP Address from DHCP to Static—It Turned Out to Be Very Easy

EZVIZ Camera IP Address Static Settings

I rarely change the IP address of my EZVIZ camera to a static one, unless I want to connect it to a DVR or NVR. This is because if an EZVIZ camera is connected to a DVR or NVR without changing its IP address to a static one, the IP address will keep changing, causing the camera’s connection to the DVR or NVR to be lost. You’ll then have to reconfigure the camera using the new IP address. However, if the EZVIZ camera isn’t connected to any other devices, there’s no need to set the IP address to static.

For those of you looking for a way to set the EZVIZ camera’s IP address to static, this article I’ve written will explain the process in detail.

Changing the EZVIZ Camera’s IP Address to Static Using HiTools Delivery

You cannot set the EZVIZ camera’s IP address to static through the camera settings in the app. I’ve tried it, and the IP address remains on DHCP.

So, to set the EZVIZ camera’s IP address to a truly static one, I used the HiTools Delivery software. This is the latest software to replace the SADP Tool. You can download and install HiTools Delivery on a computer running the Windows operating system. HiTools Delivery is not yet available for Mac.

How I Set the EZVIZ Camera’s IP Address to Static Using the SADP Tool

Since I don’t have a Windows computer, I used the SADP Tool to set the EZVIZ camera’s IP address to static. As I mentioned above, the HiTools Delivery software isn’t available for Mac yet.

Below is the process I followed to change the EZVIZ camera’s IP address to a static one, which you can follow.

Turn on the EZVIZ camera by plugging it into a power source.

Make sure your laptop and camera are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Here, we’ll use an Ethernet cable. For EZVIZ cameras that don’t have an Ethernet port, simply connect to a Wi-Fi network.

Open the SADP Tool software.

You will see the EZVIZ cameras detected in one network.

Check the box next to the selected camera. The side window will then display the camera data.

Uncheck Enable DHCP and change the camera IP address as needed.

Enter the device admin password. Then tap the Modify button to save the settings.

Changing the EZVIZ camera’s static IP address was successful.

Then the notification Parameters Modification Completed appears, then the EZVIZ camera IP address has been successfully changed to static mode. For the admin password, you can enter the verification code on the label attached to the camera unit. If you forget or lose the verification code, you can request a verification code by contacting EZVIZ technical support.
