How to use V380 on PC – The reason users who contacted me wanted to view the V380 camera’s display on a PC was because they wanted a larger display than on a mobile phone. To view the live view of the V380 camera on a PC, you can use the V380 Pro PC app. You can read this guide to download, install, and set up the V380 on a PC.
In this guide I wrote, I will give you information on how to use the V380 on a PC, such as live view, playback, and others.
What Is V380 for PC?
V380 for PC is smart security camera software designed specifically for PC. It allows users to remotely monitor V380 brand CCTV cameras through an internet connection. Can you use V380 for PC with other camera brands? Based on my knowledge, the software only supports V380 cameras and does not work with other brands.

How to Use V380 on PC Windows?
Login V380 for PC
You must have a registered account. To access the dashboard, you can use the login credentials you used to log in to V380 on the mobile app.
- Open V380 on PC
- Log in using your registered account.
Add Device
Tap the +Add Device icon to add a device to the V380 on your PC.
There are two methods you can use: LAN Search Addition and Manually Add by Device ID. I typically use the first method if the V380 is connected to the same network as my PC. I use the second method if the camera is located elsewhere and not on the same network.
Live View
The dashboard displays a list of connected V380 cameras. This list is, of course, the same as the one in the mobile app. Double click on the camera name to see a live view.
Playback
You can directly access V380 camera playback on your PC by double-clicking the camera displayed on the screen. The camera will appear as a single, widescreen view. Tap the Replay button in the bottom-left corner. The timeline appears, using the mouse and click on the timeline to start playback.
You can also select a date by clicking the date icon to the right of the timeline.
Download Video
Downloading videos in the V380 software on your PC has never been easier. To download, you must first change the timeline mode on the playback page to Event Set mode. To do this, click the icon to the left of the timeline.
Select the Event Set video you want to download.
Each Event Set has a maximum video length of 5 minutes. Double-click to preview or download it directly by clicking the download icon on the right. The video download process will then start automatically. You can check the download status by clicking the folder icon at the top.
Playing Downloaded Videos
In the experiments I conducted, playing downloaded videos could not be done using Windows Media Player.
Playing a video using Windows Media Player will prompt you to download additional software, such as HVEC Video Extensions, which is a paid option. Instead of downloading additional software, you can use VLC, which is free. You can download VLC from its official website.
- Open the Documents folder > Record
- Right click on the video
- Open With
- Select VLC Media Player
