The method we use most often and prefer is to reset the password using the Hik-Partner Pro app. With this app, resetting a Hikvision DVR/NVR password is quick and easy, taking just a few minutes.
Open the Hik-Partner Pro app.
On the dashboard page, select the Toolkit > Reset Password.
Select LAN Device (SADP). Then the DVR/NVR data download process appears.
Tap Agree on Privacy Policy.
Tap “Send Verification Code.” The code will be sent to the email address linked to your DVR/NVR during activation.ation.
Check your email address.
Enter the verification code from your email into the field provided. Tap OK to continue.
Set New Password.
