I wrote this article based on my experience when I received a call from a V380 Pro camera user. The customer explained that they were unable to play back recordings on their camera. They said that the V380 Pro camera had been installed a month ago, so it should have saved some recordings by now. However, when the customer tried to play back the recordings, the screen only displayed the message “No Recorded Files Found.” Why can’t the V380 Pro camera find the recordings?
In this article, you’ll find the reasons why recordings aren’t found on the V380 Pro camera and how to fix the problem.
Finding the Cause of the V380 Pro Camera’s Inability to Playback Recordings
Once I arrive at the customer’s home, as usual, I’ll look for the main reason why the V380 Pro camera isn’t recording.
According to the customer’s explanation, the V380 Pro camera in his home was installed just one month ago, so it’s still very new. Still, I’m well aware that V380 Pro cameras are generally of poor quality. In fact, I’ve experienced some issues with this camera myself. As you’d expect given the price, some V380 Pro cameras sell for less than $10.
When checking the memory card, it was detected as 100 percent.

Don’t be fooled by the status of this memory card.
It could be a false status. To find out the actual status, you can format the memory card. When I tried to format it, the memory card failed to format, and afterward, the camera couldn’t detect it. From this issue, it can be concluded that the reason the V380 Pro camera cannot playback videos is a damaged memory card.
The memory card isn’t detected after formatting.

How I Fixed a Memory Card That Wasn’t Detected on the V380 Pro Camera
If the memory card is no longer detected, you must replace it with a new one.
As a camera technician, I am unable to repair a damaged CCTV camera memory card. After I removed the memory card from the V380 Pro camera, I discovered that the customer wasn’t using a memory card designed for the camera, but rather one intended for a cell phone. Of course, memory cards for cell phones and CCTV cameras are not the same.
After I replaced my memory card with a memory card for a CCTV camera, the camera was able to record again, and the recordings could be playback.

Another Issue The V380 Pro Camera Doesn’t Record Video
If the memory card has been detected but the V380 Pro camera’s video recording is choppy, this is due to the recording settings.
The V380 Pro camera offers two recording modes: continuous recording and event recording. To ensure your recordings aren’t interrupted, you can enable continuous recording mode. And if you want to save storage space, you can enable event recording; however, the recording will be intermittent because the camera will only record when it detects motion in front of the lens.
I always enable both recording modes like this.

I also enabled the audio recording feature so that the V380 Pro camera would record sound as well as video.

Final Thoughts
So, based on my experience, the main reason the V380 Pro camera cannot record or play back footage is a damaged memory card. If this problem occurs with your V380 Pro camera, you can simply replace the memory card with a new one. Make sure you use a memory card designed for CCTV cameras, not one meant for cell phones. Memory cards for CCTV cameras usually have a label on the packaging that says “For CCTV Camera.”
