How to use AnyCam security camera software on my Windows PC—A few days ago, a user contacted me about managing several IP cameras from different manufacturers. He wanted to know whether it was possible to view all of them from a single interface. Based on my experience testing multi-camera monitoring software, the answer is yes. In many cases, users can monitor cameras from multiple brands by using third-party CCTV software, while vendor-provided applications typically support only their own devices.
In this guide, I will explain how to add multiple IP cameras to AnyCam software and monitor them from a single interface.
What Is AnyCam IP Camera Software?
AnyCam is IP camera monitoring software that allows users to connect and monitor cameras from various manufacturers through a single application. Instead of opening separate applications for each camera brand, you can manage multiple camera video streams from a single dashboard.
Some of the main features include:
- Support for IP cameras from various manufacturers
- User-friendly interface
- Support for RTSP and other common streaming protocols
What You Need to Connect an IP Camera to AnyCam?
Before starting to add an IP camera to AnyCam, there are several things you need to prepare, including the following.
- IP camera with ONVIF/RTSP/MJPEG features
- The camera’s IP address
- An IP camera connected to your local network
- Camera username and password
Note: The IP camera must support ONVIF and have an RTSP URL. If either of these is missing, the camera won’t be able to connect to AnyCam.
You should now have AnyCam downloaded and installed on your PC. If you need help with the process, you can also check out our guide on how to install AnyCam on Windows.
Step by Step Connecting IP Camera to AnyCam Software
Open the AnyCam software on your computer.

Click the green box with the + icon to add an IP camera. In this article, I’m using AnyCam, which I installed on my Windows 11 computer, and the IP camera I’m using is the IMOU brand.

On the Add New IP Camera page, fill in your IP camera data.
- Camera IP or Stream URL: Fill in the IP address of the camera you’re using. Use an IP address detector to find the camera’s IP address.
- Login: admin
- Password: Fill in the camera password
- Search For: Turn on all options

If you’re using an IMOU IP camera like me, you can use the default login and password information. IMOU assigns admin as the default username and uses the Safety Code printed on the device label as the default password.
After all the data is filled in, click the Connect button.
The connection process will then run automatically.
Once the camera is connected successfully, it will appear right away on the AnyCam dashboard. Here’s a screenshot showing an IMOU IP camera that has been successfully added to AnyCam.

How to Playback CCTV Footage in AnyCam?
Move your cursor over the camera feed.
Click the View Recordings icon.
You’ll then be taken to the playback page.
Note: However, when I tried to play back the footage, no video showed up at all. I also tried playing the recordings directly from the folder, but that didn’t work either. The video files are saved in a format that requires a special app or the HEVC extension to play.
I’m assuming users can’t play back recordings directly in AnyCam.
The Solution:
As a workaround, you can use a third-party app to play back your recordings.
I’m using VLC Media Player. Just install VLC on your PC or laptop, then open the folder where AnyCam stores its recordings.
Right-click the video file and select Open With > VLC Media Player.
Embed the Camera Feed on a Website
You can use the link provided by AnyCam to display your camera feed on your website, so you can access it from anywhere.
Here’s how:
Move your cursor over the camera feed.
Click the Remote Viewing icon.
On this page, you’ll see three remote viewing options:
- Web Browser
- Telegram Bot
- Android Phone
I chose the Web Browser tab because I plan to display the camera feed on my website. Just copy the link provided in that tab.
Paste the link into your web browser.
To embed the camera feed on your website, go to the HTML Code tab. Copy the provided HTML code and paste it into your website’s page. Your camera feed will remain accessible on your website as long as the camera stays connected to AnyCam.
Is AnyCam Software Free To Use?
AnyCam is available in free and paid versions.
If you’re using the free version, you can only add one IP camera. The paid version allows you to add multiple IP cameras. The pricing is listed below.
