
By default, VIGI IP cameras use the DHCP system. The camera will automatically obtain an IP address assigned by the router. With this system, there is a risk that the VIGI camera’s IP address may change on its own. In my experience, when this happens, the VIGI camera will lose its connection when connected to another device, such as an NVR, because the previously detected IP address differs from the new one.
