SADP Tool and HiTools Delivery are software programs provided by Hikvision to users for configuring NVRs, DVRs, and IP cameras—such as changing passwords, changing IP addresses, unbinding devices, and resetting passwords. However, following a system update, specifically regarding the unbinding process, some models can no longer be unbound using SADP Tool and HiTools Delivery. If you are unable to unbind a Hikvision device using these two software tools, there are other alternatives you can try.

How to Use the Unbind Method for Hikvision NVRs, DVRs, and IP Cameras
Using the SADP Tool
Open the SADP Tool application.
Make sure the DVR/NVR is detected in the app. Check the box next to the device you want to unbind.
Tap the Unbind button.
Enter your username, password, and verification code. Then tap the Confirm button.
If you see the “Unbind Succeeded” notification along with a green check mark, the unbinding process was successful and the device has been removed from the old account.
If it fails, it means the device model cannot be unbound using the SADP Tool.
Using HiTools Delivery
HiTools Delivery is the latest version of SADP Tools. For your information, SADP Tools is no longer being updated by Hikvision.
Unbinding using HiTools Delivery is roughly the same as using the SADP Tool. Select the device, then click the Unbind button. If the unbind operation fails, the device model cannot be unbound using the HiTools Delivery software. Therefore, you should use a different method.
I did it right away by opening the settings on the NVR and DVR
On some Hikvision NVR and DVR models, you can unbind devices directly by opening the settings.
Open the Settings menu.
Next, select Network > Platform Access. In this menu, some models typically provide an Unbind button that you can click.
Using Hik-Partner Pro
Unbinding Hikvision devices using Hik-Partner Pro never fails.
If methods 1, 2, and 3 don’t work, you can use the Hik-Partner Pro app to unbind your Hikvision device. I’m currently using this app myself to unbind devices and reset passwords.
