I Unbind the Hikvision IP Camera Remotely Using the Hik-Partner Pro App—It Was Very Helpful

Unbind Hikvision IP Cameras Remotely Using Hik-Partner Pro

Almost every month, I receive requests to unbind Hikvision devices—including IP cameras, NVRs, and DVRs—from users who live far from where I live. Since I’m a verified technician on the Hik-Partner Pro app, I can perform the unbind remotely from anywhere. As a CCTV camera technician, I find this feature extremely helpful because

This is my experience with remotely unbinding a Hikvision IP camera. If you need my help, I’m happy to assist.

Remote Unbinding—I Don’t Need to Go to the Location

Before the Hik-Partner Pro app was available, I always handled the unbind process by visiting customers’ homes with equipment such as a laptop. Since I had to go directly to their homes, I couldn’t accommodate all unbind requests—only those within my reach. Now that this app is available, I can help people from anywhere, regardless of location, with the unbind process.

I usually receive a reward from them after the unbind process is successfully completed.

Here Is My Process for Remotely Unbinding a Hikvision IP Camera

Actually, for the remote unbind process, I still need help from the people on-site. They have to install the SADP Tool or HiTools Delivery app to get the device’s QR code. Then I scan that code using the Hik-Partner Pro app to generate a key code. I also need a photo of the camera label for verification.

You can follow the steps I’ve outlined below.

What the User Does

Install the SADP Tool or HiTools Delivery software; you can install it on PCs and laptops. Note that HiTools Delivery is only available for Windows PCs and laptops.

Next, connect the IP camera and the laptop to the same network.

Open HiTools Delivery.

Next, the IP camera will be detected in HiTools Delivery. Check the box and click the “Forgot Password” button in the lower-left corner. Take a photo of the QR code that appears and send it to me.

What I Do on My Side

I opened the Hik-Partner Pro app

Then I logged into the app using my password and email address.

Select Online Support Case.

Tap the New Case button.

Select Device Unbinding.

Select Other method to unbind Hikvision camera device remotely.

Tap “+” to upload device label.

Scan the QR code from the SADP Tool. Check the terms and conditions. Tap the Confirm button.

The app will then begin processing your Hikvision camera device unbinding request. This process will take approximately 15 to 30 seconds. You will receive a notification once the device unbinding request has been approved.

Unable to Unbind Hikvision Camera Remotely with Hik-Partner Pro

Not all Hik-Partner Pro accounts have access to request remote device unbinding. Your account must be verified to use this feature. Account verification requires information such as your company name, full address, and email address. Your user type must be a System Integrator, not a regular user.

So, if you can’t unbind your Hikvision camera remotely, then:

  • Your account isn’t verified
  • You’re still registered as a regular user.

Conclusion

Remotely unbinding a Hikvision IP camera using Hik-Partner Pro is a quick and efficient process if done correctly. It allows you to unbind the device without requiring physical access to the customer’s location. By following the steps above, you can safely unbind your device and prepare it for a new account without any complications.
