App Theme Color
The immediately visible difference between the two apps is the theme color. HiLookVision uses a predominantly sky blue theme color. This also matches the blue theme of the HiLook security camera devices.
For Hik-Connect, the theme color is red.
UI View
HiLookVision and Hik-Connect have a similar user interface.
For example, you can see the app’s dashboard page. The menu layout and list of connected devices are exactly the same, with virtually no differences at all. At the bottom are several menus like Home, Notifications, Services, and Me (Profile).
The live camera view page is also exactly the same.
Application Size
HiLookVision application size is smaller than Hik-Connect. The HiLookVision app is 390MB installed on your phone, while the Hik-Connect app is larger, at 448MB. In the Play Store, when not installed, the app is 120MB.
So the size of the Hik-Connect application is 100MB larger than HiLookVision.
Interchangeable
Although intended for devices with different names, these two applications can be used with each other.
